Christmas Eve we got our traditional Christmas Jammie's and then we read, "I believe in Santa Claus" it is about the true meaning of Christmas and compares Santa to our Saviour. It is such a sweet book with a great message for kids. We have been working all season teaching it kids about love, giving and Christ. Jake and I love that we are seeing their testimonies of the gospel grow all the time. Kids have the sweetest spirits and we are so grateful for the church in our lives.
Emma came and slept in our bed then jake finally woke her up and asked her if she thought Santa came. She was so cute and drowsy saying we would just wait for benjamin and everyone to wake up and she would go back to sleep. Then it registered and she popped up and it was all excitement from then on out! She went and got big brother and jake and I loved watching their excitement looking at the presents and the tree. Grandma Schraft made us all shirts with pictures of outer camping trip this summer. Grandma Jardine made each of the kids Frozen pillow cases with their names embroidered! We sure love them!
Some of the hit presents were , Baymax, ninja turtles, Ana, Disney princess barbies, and puppy, kitty and dinosaur surprise. They are the cutest things you don't know how many babies they will have till you open the mommy. There is twins, runts, girls and boys! Absolutely adorable and I had them when I was little. :) They do not make a dinosaur surprise, but benjamin knew Santa's elves could make one.... So of course that little elf got to work! Out came a dinosaur surprise with little baby Dino's in the belly and even eggs that when put in water little babies hatches out.
The joy of Christmas is just so much fun with kids! Noah was pretty tired and out of it all morning, once he woke up he did get into the unwrapping and all the noise and light toys that would appear.
After we were done we had presents from papa and grandma that were waiting. Benjamin and emma each said they were so happy and grateful for what they had, but we're so excited for their last ones! Of course they each got that one amazing toy that was left on their list and flipped out. I love those sweet smiles! Emma got her doc mobile that grandma was a miracle worker to find. Emma got into her scrubs, got her doctor supplies out and went to work as dr emma the rest of the morning! Benjamin got a robot dinosaur that papa said he for sure needs. This dinosaur is so fun- it has sensors, dances, sits, chomps, will get mad and so much more. Noah got the best toy ever... One of those sound poppers as you walk and that noise was going right away! Thank you for helping make the morning that much more special mom and dad!
Next we went to Grandma Deedee's and grandpa Fadi's for breakfast. DeeDee made yummy scones and all of Jakes siblings were there. We all enjoyed a fun gift exchange. We were all spoiled again, Jake and I with a mini iPad and the kids had so much fun seeing their cousins and aunts and uncles. The kids were spoiled again and loving every minute of it! Wrapping paper, toys and noise were everywhere with lots of little giggles and smiles!
We were off to home to play and get ready for dinner at Jeff and Kayla's. When we had all played with our new toys and got the cooking done we headed over. We arrived just in time for dinner and you could smell all the goodness. When about 15 minutes in our next go at the nasty bug came so we went home. So sad we couldn't enjoy that dinner more and everyone's company!
Even with the sickness our family was so blessed this Christmas and loved. It was great being with our little family all in Jammie's snuggled on the couches watching movies together.
