Noah's first field trip

Noah has been absolutely rocking it in Kindergarten this year. October came and it was time for his first field trip. I was so lucky and got chosen to be a chaperone. I've never been able to go before due to having multiple kids at home. Navy went to Aunt Madi's house and we headed out on the bus to Gilcrease Orchard. We got taught about the bees, fruits, vegetables, and loved it. We went on a hayride around the orchard seeing where everything grows. The kids got to play in a haymaze and just ran and ran. It was so fun watching the bees and all the different chickens they had. Each kid got to go in the pumpkin patch and pick out their very own pumpkin to bring home. We finished the day with yummy hot cider and kettle corn. I wish I could join my kids for all these fun adventures, but am sure glad they get to experience them. We will be going back for sure.

Whoa.... Rough ride over here

We had an insanely rough couple weeks over here. It started with

  • Monday- having 3/4 kids home sick from school.
  • Tuesday- I had Emma home and took her to the doctor after hours found out she had really bad case of strep.
  • Tuesday cont.-Back home I got a call from the school and Noah had been shoved by a kid that has been an issue all year. He slammed his head on the concrete. That night we saw multiple doctors and found out he had a concussion.
  • Tuesday cont- We found out our dog at lice...... yuck gross automatically itching everywhere. So meant deep cleaning everything while getting beast treated and shaved and checked, etc. Luckily we found out none of us can get it and the cat can't. It is only species specific so dog to dog. Still disgusting.
  • Wednesday- Went and saw the Doctor again for Noah to double check him. He was banned from physical activity and still dizzy and having headaches.
  • Thursday-Noah said he was finally able to see and everything wasn't shaking anymore. Man the momma heart was broken. Also poor Emma's throat was so bad she was not able to talk for the last three days.
  • The weekend- we stayed at home trying to survive.
  • Monday- everyone back to schoool
  • Tuesday night - at scouts playing frisbee football Benjamin ran into another kid and his entire eye and side of his face swelled up. He had a horrible black eye so quick. We didn't take him in that night because the doctor said as long as he isn't having vision problems, which thankfully he never did.
  • Wednesday, Thursday- consisted of more doctors for Benjamin with a broken eye bone, on the side by his eyebrow. He was banned from physical activity for the next few weeks. We saw the Doctor again the next week and the next week as she kept an eye on it.
  • Wednesday at the Doctor Benjamin also tested positive for strep.
  • Wednesday cont- after doctors from 9-2 I pulled in the drive way and got a call from the school saying Noah was now sick also. So headed back out to go pick him up from school.
  • Friday- Emma fell at school and hurt her knee. Poor girl said not to call me because I already had a lot going on. Well she was in a wrap for the next week with a sprained knee. She fell just right to hurt it.
  • Friday-the next four days- Navy got sick
  • Sunday- I went to church early, Jake had a neighbor help with the van because the battery died. They made it to church and after church the battery died again. So went and took it to the shop and sure enough needed a new one.
October and the rest of the year is going to be so awesome at this house because all of the bad stuff already happened right?!?!?!?!?!?!

My Mickey Girls!

In September the time finally came for our girls trip. A while back we put together a trip to California to go to Disneyland. We ended up having 17 amazing ladies with us! We loaded in the cars really early and went straight to the park. We had park hoppers so we did both parks in one day. WOW! You sure can get a lot more done when you don't have littles along for the ride too. We covered all the b
est rides and ate ALL of the food. They have so many different Halloween treats at every food place and they were all so delicious. It was my first time at the parks where it was decorated for a holiday and Disney did not disappoint. I had the best time with my girls. The next day we ate at Porto's which is an amazing spot in California with even more good food. We did some shopping at downtown disney and then headed home. So it was a very fast trip, but seriously a great time.

30 years old!

I turned 30 over here! My mom started the day with taking me to get pedicures. It was the most relaxing way to spend my first few hours with all my kids at school. After I went to lunch with Madi and Emylee at Red Robin. Navy and I went shopping afterwards and we scored some great deals. I thought we were ending the night with Jake and I going to date at Leticia's and it was some of the best mexican food we have had here! After we came home and Jake and my mom and sisters had planned a surprise party. It was so fun to see all of the family and friends that came over. They decorated with balloons and signs and all rose gold colors. They had different sparkling ciders and different nothing bundt cakes along with homemade rootbeer icecream. Taliah even painted a frame sign with a friends theme, 'the one where Bre turns 30". I so appreciate all the effort and love put into the night for me! Thank you everyone, I keep getting told this decade is the best!
