Easter and Conference

What better way to spend Easter then watching General Conference. It was a weekend filled with our Savior and the spirit. We listened to amazing talks that filled my soul. Each conference I feel I hear at least a few talks that feel like they were just meant for me.

Celebrating with family we had a wonderful week!

Our model Navy

 This one makes us smile!

My turn

Well 2020 saw me break my toe and elbow that put me out a few months. 2021 said why not do some more. I started the year off with getting surgery on my face to remove a mole. Everything ended up being clear, just left a pretty little addition to my face.

Next off in March was my knee- Jake and I were moving furniture down the stairs and I retore my meniscus. I tore it a few years ago and this year just completely reimbursed it. I ended up in a giant brace and in PT again.

Now to April and May. My back went out and ended up being a pretty big deal. I was out for about a week before I went in to the drs for tests. With Insurance the whole thing is a step by step process that is no fun and absolutely no help. About a week later I had been able to function but just in pain while doing it. Then I bumped ghost and his weight pushing back on me felt like I ripped my back in two. I ended up in bed for three days with a walker to make it to the bathroom. I’m on meds now an am up and walking. With moving and having to be out of our house it has been a challenge. Luckily I have amazing family, friends and clients that have helped take care of me and my family! Hopefully the next month goes ok as all of the next steps happen as we move.

Ms. Penny

My niece Penny sang in sacrament. She did a beautiful job. We love the spirit she brings to the room with her voice. She sang “My Own Sacred Grove” the kids haven’t stopped singing it since and call it Penny’s song.

Bulloch baseball

We got together with the Bulloch’s again for a baseball night. The dads were in the field as all the kids took turns batting and eating snow cones!

Fun times

We have had lots of cuddles and games during Covid. The kids have absolutely loved being back in school, but only half the time so they get short days. We had Grandma Schraft come and we got to go to dinner us grand girls and her. It’s become one of our favorite traditions when we get to see her. We also got to see some of our cousins and uncle Jeff and aunt Janelle. Growing up together was the absolute best so when we get together it’s so much fun!

Benjamin got to go with grandma and grandpa and his aunts to a Silver Knights game. He had a blast. The knights have definitely grabbed our attention with hockey in Vegas! Absolute blast at these games.

Vegas Snow

We got a lot of snow and my amazing carpool friend took the kids out to play at the park! I miss the snow and this was so much fun for the kids.

Bulloch night at Uncle Brent’s

Brent has a new house he built and what better way to celebrate them having us all over for a family night! The kids love being with all their cousins and we adults had a blast catching up. I loved watching grandpa surrounded, he spoiled and entertained Navy and Piper all night giving them money for the candy machines. Thank you everyone that came for the night. Family is what is it all about.

Great Grandma K

In January we lost one of the greats. My Great grandma Kearsley passed away. She was such an awesome person who always made us laugh. She taught us how to love playing card games and always made the best cinnamon toast. Growing up her and grandpa would come by in their motor home and take us on rides. We will miss her so much, but know she is so happy to be with Grandpa again.

I kept talking to the kids how lucky they were to have a great great grandma alive. We could have added many more greats to how amazing she is! Till we meet again Grandma, I can’t wait to sit and play a round of skip bo with you!

We had a short 24 hour trip, but had such a great time seeing all of our family we haven’t seen in so long. Love them all so much! The kids also got to see some snow finally!

6 years of Daddy Daughter

This year our school didn’t have a dance and it was the girls last year. They were so bummed that they got together and planned a whole evening out with some friends. The dads took them to dinner and then skating at crystal palace. Then the girls had a sleep over. These two are the best and I love these memories they have had together with the best daddies! Thank you Chad and Jake. Emylee and I didn’t even have to do anything!

Benjamin is 12

Wow! He is growing up so fast and getting so tall. Benjamin we sure love you and the person you are growing to be! Sorry we had a cast on this year! We went on a date with each of the drs appts, glad we got some mom and son time!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve was amazing as always. This year we ALL had matching pajamas and it was all the christmas feelings. They said “Merry Christmoose”. We had our traditional breakfast for dinner and went home to get ready for Santa.

The kids woke up so early this year! It was still dark outside and the sun hadn’t even risen yet when we were done and out riding bikes and scooters. Ghost was entertained by a bike the whole morning and of course right in front of the heater. I got spoiled with a new ring and bands for my kids. The kid all had a new bike or scooter with some fun games.

After we headed over to my parents and the kids played and played all day. They each got a new suitcase filled with fun stuff. We had an amazing day around amazing people. We felt the true spirit of Christmas being around our loved ones.

Schraft competition!

We had a family gingerbread contest! We had a absolute blast and even had an outside friend/neighbor come in to do the judging.

Noah and Taliah made a igloo with penguins. Madi and Vernon made a camper trailer. Kylee and jordan and Benjamin made a log cabin. Grandma and grandpa made their whole house and yard! Jake and I made a traditional gingerbread house. Grandpa and grandma won this year!
