Kids are shining!

I’m so proud of the kids. They have all been working extra hard to accomplish goals and earn rewards.

Benjamin is now on a club volleyball team. He did two weeks of training and a clinic before tryouts. He did great and we are looking forward to a fun season.

Emma made the varsity cheer team. She also is in a yearbook class. She worked really hard and is taking lots of pictures. That earned her head photo editor over 6 other editors! And she got the yearbook business manager where she is over the budget for the yearbooks. She was so worried she wouldn’t get anything and we are so proud! She is loving the class.

I

Noah wrote a paper explaining how he can help others and talked about about service he has done and what he can do in the future. The teachers take the applications and pick one child per class to be a leader for the year. It’s kind of like a student council honor club. Well he was so nervous for a week and then we finally got the news he was chosen! He is so excited to be a Jr lighthouse member!

Noah also decided to try out for the school musical. I told him he would have to sing and he said, “ duh, it’s a musical!” Ok child! He is so excited he got the part of an elf and Rockefeller child. We can’t wait to go see him in Buddy the elf musical in December. Lots of hard work till then.

Navy had been wanting to cheer and we had just under 100 girls show up for the elementary cheer team. She did amazing and was one of the top scores for first grade. I was a little nervous and then so proud of her when I saw her score card. Her constant smile is definitely part of that! We have  busy cheer season ahead of us.

Lots of fun and just crazy schedules starting, but we sure are proud of and love these kids so much!

Picture drop

The boys had the best time, sleep overs and golfing! Noah said he is going to spend every weekend at grandma and grandpas now. He even went to church with them to watch Jordan in his program. Love these boys so much!

Here are some random dress up photos and park nights.

Jake, navy, Benjamin and I went to a stake youth cornhole tournament. It was a fun Friday night with our oldest and youngest, yummy cookies, drinks, shaved ice, and corn dogs!  We did a youth service car wash. Jake and I date night at P.F. Chang’s.

Picture I took today. Blows my mind my mom is shrinking so much! Lol

Labor Day mountain time

We went up to Paragonah to Jeff and Melissa’s cabin for Labor Day. The kids, parents and dogs had the best time! We made lots of fun memories and the mountain is always so refreshing.  We went on a fun ride up this road where there was a great pond at the top! Well the pond got redirected and a creek made a new path down the road, so we had quite a fun adventure. We went hiking up there too and Navy found the best rocks haha. She kept collecting them and wanting us all to carry some for her.

Melissa and I hung out while the kids went fishing. Jacob, Navy and Noah all caught a fish! The bigger kids all kayaked and hung out. Benjamin and Emma even went out on the kayak together. I thought for sure one of them was going to get tipped out. Benjamin and Jeff went out fishing and were taking so long and we were wondering what they were doing. Then we heard Jeff directing Benjamin on paddling back. The battery died on the boat lol so funny! Emma, navy and I are allergic to mosquitos and got some crazy bites. Emma gets so swollen she gets giant bumps sticking out of her! Melissa and I did a Minnie Mouse puzzle that Navy only felt like doing a couple pieces of. Jacob, Noah and navy had a great time playing with fox and mountain lion skins, so gross and crazy. The boys thought they were so funny and navy thought they were just adorable.

Our last night Jeff made the best dinner and potato’s! We even had a rain storm. My favorite sitting with great company and yummy food as it rained. I read so much while we were there which just made the weekend even better. Thank you for amazing time with family! Love the mountain air so much and so grateful we could go up with the Bierstedt’s!

On Monday we went into town and our friends saved us seats for the parade. They set out chairs days before! It was one of the best parades! Over an hour long of candy, floats, dances, cheers, music, horses and more! Parawon put on a fantastic celebration! The kids got so much candy! During the parade we saw our favorite cedar city cheerleader, Reese! The kids freaked out and were so excited. We loved being able to see her perform. After we went to  see Troy and Erin and ran into more friends! So many of our favorite people were there. It was a great end to our weekend.

Birthday time!

I had my birthday and had a great week! It was surrounded by my friends and family. These people mean the world to me and I’m so grateful for all of them. I was spoiled with lots of lunches, treats and dinners. I got to go to a New Mexican place and a fun Harry Potter themed shop for lunch.

Jake and I went on a group date and had the best time having the most delicious tacos and then off to ax throwing. Us girls didn’t know about the closed toe shoes, we got fitted with the cutest styles and they just completed our outfits! We were laughing so hard, these poor shoes.

Jake and I threw axes once a few years ago and that was it. Well they used me as an example and I hit the target! I was so on Pointe for the first half of the night. I only missed it a couple times. Jake didn’t have as good of luck. Then we switched roles and he had it down and I kept missing. As a joke I picked up two axes and threw them both. Score! Lol I got both in the targets and right by the bullseye. I said I could never try again because that was crazy! Lol the guys were like what the heck! Hahaha it was too funny. Brooke and I both won free games so we will for sure be back.

On my birthday my mom and sisters went out to lunch, pedis and shopping! Yes, I say sisters because mom held up a picture of taliah in all of our group shots. They made it a great birthday. I am so grateful to have so many built in friends! My sisters and mom are wonderful people! That night Jake made me dinner and he made me dinner the next night too! I was so spoiled! I got celebrated for weeks as I saw everyone.

Thank you thank you for all of your love! It was a fabulous birthday!

Happy birthday Navy!

Happy birthday to our baby! Navy is 6! We had lots of celebrations and so much fun. She makes everyone laugh or smile. Navy always has the craziest things to say ranging from stories, to jokes, to just random comments. She loves her friends so much and when she sees them out and about their is always a hug involved and you would thing she hasn’t seen them in years, even if it had been that day or the day before. She just radiates joy! Navy loves so many things I can’t list them all. She has so many favorites. We love her so much and are so grateful she is in our family. Happy birthday Navy!

Navy had the best birthday party with all of her friends! Our friend even made her the cutest paint birthday banner. She had a painting party. Each friend got a canvas with their initial on it. They then painted away making patterns with lots of colors. After the paint dried we pulled the tape off and they had their own fun initial canvas.

It was so fun to see everyone painting and having fun. Even grandma and grandpa and aunties painted! Her cupcakes were all the colors and she loved all of it. We had lots of colored balloons too. Just color everywhere!
Navy got so many fun presents. She loves these Barbie’s that come with costumes. She was so excited to get a whole collection of them. She got a LOL doll and her faces when she opened presents were just the best. Grandma and grandpa got her soooo many orbeez. Like 100,000!!! We had orbeez everywhere for weeks and Navy was in heaven. She said grandma got her exactly what she had asked for.

After her party she got to have some of her besties over and we painted nails and they played with her new toys. That night was our ward swim party. She loves it at the water park and decided that was her party too. Yep, our ward family threw her her a birthday party. Lol everyone loves Navy so must the adults and teens all wished her happy birthday since they knew what was going on. So so funny! She had a fantastic day! The kids were all off swimming and playing the night away.

For navy’s birthday dinner she requested artichokes. Luckily we found them and she was so excited. Grandma and grandpa came over for dinner. She got to open some presents and loves her LOL dolls. Grammy Vicki and grandpa Jeff got her Bluey toys, we had to send a video to show how much this girl loved them! We had cupcakes and a Navy got her own puppy cake.  She entertained herself for hours her whole birthday week with little cups. Stacking them in all the ways possible.

Navy got spoiled by our carpool and she got a cake pop and fresh flowers in the morning. Then she got to stop for ice cream after school! I got to go into Navy’s class with treats on her birthday.  It was so fun to see how excited she was and we all sang to her. Love this girl!
