Halloween

A few days before Halloween we went over to Jeff and Melissa’s to carve pumpkins. The kids had so much fun picking their designs out. Jeff had it all ready and the food was so yummy and Halloween themed. I mean how cute are those blood drink bags. The kids had a blast with them. It was perfect timing our pumpkins lasted till the day after Halloween. The kids loved having them and we had a great night.
Halloween night we went to our friends house and she went all out. Amazing costumes and all. I got zero pictures because we were having so much fun. The kids played bingo and navy won multiple times. The adults all had a cornhole competition and we got 3rd. Not bad for never playing lol. We kept joking it was our beginner luck.

Next up was trick or treating. Taliah, Charlotte and Robert met up with us. The kids hit up our neighborhood and then we went across the street to meet up with Emma’s friends and Jeff and Melissa and the kids. The teens laughed and had fun running around. We couldn’t keep up with Navy. She was house to house and down before we even realized she left where we were. We had a fun night and happy to squeeze one more thing in before Taliah moved the next day.

Full week!

We had 9 days with Taliah before she moved to Utah! We filled those days with as much as we could.

We got to attend the temple together. I loved being there with her and feeling her strong spirit. She was challenged to attend weekly. I decided to really work on genealogy and attend more in Las Vegas. Also can’t get enough of her face! We love you Taliah!

While we were at the temple, the Giffords took my kids to our ward trunk or treat so they could still enjoy! The decor was on point! Amazing with witch hats floating along the entire ceiling in the gym. The kids made out with candy and glow sticks.

For Noah’s birthday we were going to Dave and Busters. Then Noah decided to wait a week and go with Taliah. I pulled the kids from school and we went on to get our game on. We had so much fun competing. Emma won spin for tickets, Benjamin won basketball and taliah won the racing game. Navy and Noah loved every game. We had so much fun playing together.
We had lots of shopping days, movie nights, card games and more. We didn’t waste a minute and enjoyed it all.

How cute is this girl. She even taught herself how to crochet while on her mission. She made each of the kids a cute knit animal. We love her! We are ecstatic she is back and can’t wait to see what she does next.

Taliah Day!

Taliah did the best on her talk. We filled the chapel with so many loved ones and loved ones on zoom to hear this beautiful girl speak of her experience. The feeling was surreal having her back and seeing her face not on a phone. She said her favorite place was Boston and her favorite connections were in Connecticut.

We decorated the house and had everyone over. It was a beautiful Sunday.

My parents heated the pool for everyone visiting. The kids swam and played non stop. They loved having so many here. We ate and talked and loved it all.

She landed!

Yay!!!! We were all stoked to finally make our airport trip. We got there early and all prepared with all of our signs. Dad paced all over the place! As soon as her flight landed we stood ready and waiting. Lots of groups came through. We practices cheered for them welcoming them to Vegas. So much anticipation! We finally saw her and the screaming and tears began.
She is our favorite and we were so excited to see her. We all got lots of hugs in over and over.

Seeing my parents hug her was the absolute best. Then the kids snuck in and got her.  Ben even beat us to her.
Family complete again! My parents, kylee, Charlotte, Jake, Benjamin, Emma and I got to go with her to be released. What a powerful moment. It was beautiful to listen and be there for that moment. She was a fantastic missionary and we are incredibly proud of her!
