9 years

On the 18 Jake and I celebrated our 9th anniversary. I am so grateful for the years we have had together and the memories we have made. We have grown so much. Our family is a wonderful blessing and our anniversary is also the day we were sealed as a family together forever. It makes a great day even more special. I'm so grateful for the gospel in our lives and the eternity we get.

Our week!

We had a busy and fun week. Emma had two different fun summer camps this week. She had a craft and swimming camp with fun girls from her ward. She had so much fun making necklaces and headbands, painting and swimming. Her other camp was an acro/contortion camp. Emma absolutely loved it! She had the best time doing flips, and back bends, and so much more. We are looking forward to doing more classes.

We ended with the weekend in Panaca, NV at Jake's family reunion. Its always fun seeing people we don't get to very often and catching up. We found out emma is allergic to mosquitos like my whole family. She was so swollen and it broke my heart. Luckily the kids had so much fun so it was fine!

We did our nails and had fun girl chats. We went on bike rides and celebrated Penny's birthday. The kids had a blast running around and playing. There was a parade, swings, rides, dirt and what more could kids want! They ran around with cousins all day. Jake ran his first 5k that morning and got 2nd place! We are so proud of hard he worked! We ended our short stay there watching the fireworks. I love seeing the kids and their excitement. It was a great way to finish the day.

Baptism day

Yesterday was a beautiful day for our family and for Emma. She chose to get baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The kids all woke up T 4 am. I’m what?!? Yes, that’s how excited they were for Emma’s big day. She has been waiting a month to be able to wear her new dress. Emma and I worked together and she helped me pick exactly what she wanted and I made it for her. She got jewelry that she wore and her new high heels. Emma looked absolutely beautiful and I am so proud of her.

Madi gave a talk on baptism about the 6 steps from birth to get back to Heavenly Father. How Emma needs faith and with repentance and the steps she made yesterday that she is on her way and can use those through out her whole life. Jacob then baptized Emma. It is a beautiful moment seeing all the little children gather around to watch and see Emma’s joy and the strength from the priesthood with Jacob and Vernon and Grandpa Jack as they witnessed. As we were getting ready in the bathroom she radiated a kindness and a love so bright.

My dad then gave the talk on the Holy Gost. Explaining to Emma about all of the presents she has gotten at holidays and how fun they were, but that the greatest gift she will get next will be the gift of the Holy Ghost. It went so perfect with how we had been explaining the Holy Ghost to Emma. She got gifts to remember how the Holy Ghost is our friend and her companion and guide always. She was given her scriptures. Growing up our grandparents have us our first set of real scriptures when we turned 8. My parents have started that tradition and take them out to pick out their scriptures and case for their baptism day. Emma looked forward to that so much and I love how excited she was. As a side note Noah made sure Grandma and grandpa knew that only 3 1/2 years till he gets his date.

Emma was then confirmed a member of the church. I will never doubt the strength of the priesthood and the spirit it brings when I see a group of worthy men as they gather around Emma as Jake gave her the Holy Ghost. I love and am so grateful for each of the men that stood in that circle for Emma. After she was welcome to the primary and the ward. We all went to the house and ate and watched a little video of Emma through the years. She has grown up so fast. At church she walked up to the front and got introduced. She loved showing her dress to everyone and is such a big girl with her scriptures. I can’t fully express the love for my beautiful and gracious daughter. I love you Emma and we are so proud and happy for you.

Fourth of July Swimming and booms!

We had a great day celebrating our country. We swam at Jeff and Vicki's all morning and a BBQ for lunch. Navy slept while we swam so we just enjoyed the sunshine and yummy treats.

We headed to my parents after. My Grandma and Grandpa Jardine are here for Emma's baptism so we got to celebrate with them too! We swam some more and went bull riding on the inflatable blow up they got! The kids were loving it so much and we had a blast watching. We played pickleball and ate more BBQ. Then we swam and had a fire pit while we watched fireworks all around us. All the little kids were calling the fireworks, booms.

I love watching our kids with their excitement swimming with family and friends, the joy in their
eyes with the lights in sky and all the memories we
make together. I am grateful we liv
e in a country where we are able to have days of love and fun!

Great weekend times

We had the best weekend! Friday we swam all day with friends, I love all the ladies in our ward we have the best time. It’s so fun to chat and the kids just play.

Friday night we were at my parents and swam all night, while intermittently haveing a pickle all tournament. Benjamin beat Charlotte, to play the winner of Taliah and me and I won them beat Benjamin to make it to the finals. Jake beat Vernon and Kylee and so husband and wife in the championship game! Hahaha Jake won, no one can beat his spin he puts on those serves? After we soaked in the hot tub and loved the pool lights.

Saturday we spent all day at gramps and grammy’s for a BBQ and pool day. I totally loved laying out and chatting with the girls and the kids swam and swam some more!! You would think they would be exhausted from all the sun and swimming, but they just keep asking for more.

Sunday night we headed up to mount charleston for some cooler weather and family time. We got up just as the sun went down so it felt so nice outside. I love being in the mountains. We had a fun game of kickball. Where we may or may not have tied it up at 18-18 depending on a call where I got Kylee out or not at home with the last play of the night! Hahahaha! We are loving summer time!
