Summer Jam (aka Bulloch Reunion)

It’s the 24th of July which means Bulloch time! We headed up to the ranch for a long weekend. We had lots of amazing photos and so much fun. The kids soaked up every moment. I brought extra games up for Noah with his arm and we ended the trip with a mail through Navy’s foot, but all in all it was a score. We saw a lot of deer this trip and lots of baby deer which are my fav with those little spots. We even celebrated Penny’s birthday to start off the trip! Reese and Emma decorated the cabin as a surprise for her and loved it.

We had girls movie time and lots of braiding of hair. I even got Benjamin’s out of his face for the weekend!

Jake’s dad comes up with us too! The kids love having rides with him and he cooked for us too! We love spending time with Gramps! Kylee and Jordan came up for half a day. Jake and I and the kids just love love loved having her! The cabin is Jake’s favorite place so he was excited to show her. We went down to deep creek and hiked. The kids had a mud fight which was just nasty, Jake also found a really pretty rock wall with these crazy veins/fossils in it. Also I got to go on Kylee’s craziest ride she has been on to get down to the creek! She was screaming and Jordan slept the whole way down!?! We don’t even know how he did that. Kylee was the best and took Emma out driving in her side by side. Emma gets too nervous to ride with other people and Kylee was the best with her. Said she favored that quick brake lol. We are so glad she came and made it there and back without getting lost in the mountains!

The next day we had all the Bulloch’s that could come for the reunion there! So much fun. Almost everyone went on the hike to the waterfall and went swimming. Benjamin climbed way up by the waterfall. When they got back the kids and us who stayed back ambushed them with water balloons. Noah was loving it, he was sad he couldn’t go and so this made his night! Every rig that pulled up as soon as the kids got them the dads would jump out and get right up in the fight. So funny to see their faces. Noah got just as wet as the ones that went swimming and loved every minute!

We played so many card games. They are my favorite and we had a blast. They got this old pick up truck and so we had to go do a mini photo shoot. The kids were cracking us up all over that truck. It was beautiful with the sunset too. The sunsets at the mountain are one of a kind. The kids got to shoot and Uncle Chad helped them. Thank you! They loved it and were naturals. Emma now wants a gun.

Benjamin really had a good time on the dirt bike this trip. He wants his own. These kids hahaha. It was fun seeing them grow and how big they are getting. Navy and Piper wanted another photo shoot on the swings and looked adorable. The uncles even filled up the trough/pool for them to swim and play.

A group of us took a new ride for awhile. It was the prettiest ride with a whole new type of trees and flowers. We had an issue with a boulder in the road so we stopped so the guys could get it out of the way. They tried moving it themselves but needed just a bit of assistance. Us girls did a great job cheering them on. It’s amazing the differences and wonders on grandpas mountain as you go around. This ended at a beautiful view down and you could see part of Zion and the red canyons. I get crazy anxiety around the cliffs like that so we got our picture and got out of there.

Gramps was getting some of his stuff and a rattler went right by him. We usually have one or two for the weekend, but this one was so close. They guys killed it and then Uncle Brent took the night with the kids! Benjamin really got into it and ate the most of it, he said it tasted like chicken. Um no. They skinned the whole snake and Benjamin pinned the snake skin to dry out. Benjamin and Noah then put the snake on the fire to cook. Cash and Noah said it was awful and sticky to eat. I was so proud even the girls got into the dissembling of the snake.

We had 7-10 dogs up there and they all loved roaming with their little inner wolves. The little dogs are for sure the bravest. Gramps has the tiniest one and the only dog that was attacking the rattle snake!

Grandpa loved watching everyone run and go and go and go! So crazy to think of his and grandmas amazing legacy they have made. The people that make it up to the cabin are probably only 1/4 of his people too! One of my favorite parts of the reunion weekend is spending time with the people we don’t get to see often due to busy schedules. We love all of our aunts and uncles and cousins. Thank you so much to everything and everyone does to make this work for us all. It was a crazy weekend, but the kids went 100 the whole time and loved it, which sure makes this mama happy! I love my kids being at their older ages and getting to hang out with them more. We know times get busy and people have plans, but it is always special for those that can make it up.
We love your grandpa! Happy Summer Jam!

Disney magic time

We celebrated Disney’s 67th birthday and Jake and I’s 13th anniversary! Party time and we went with some of our best friends and had no kids! Disney is magic and yea kids bring an extra element to it which is so fun. It is also so fun to have the excessive whining, crying, tired feet, bathroom trips etc. haha. We will enjoy them but it was a great trip!

We left super early in the morning and went straight to the park. We left for an hour ish to take a nap then closed out the park at midnight! Such a long day, but the best!

We enjoyed all of the rides and made it on everything er wanted too. We also enjoyed all of the food. We just shared so we could all try all of the things, one of my fav parts.

Our longest wait was for Star Wars rise. We played heads up and were laughing along with the people in line next to us. These were some of our best screen shots and I’ll love having the videos.

The next day we woke up and went to Porto’s. It was Jake’s first time and almost all he has wanted since we got home. He randomly tells me what we need to order and how many we need to order next time. It is the best bakery! After we headed to the beach. It was a quick stop, but I love the ocean so I soaked it in, pretty literally since a couple waves got us all nice, wet, and sandy for the ride home.

Happy fourth!

We went over to our friends home. We spent the night with the Mcclure’s and the Gifford’s. We had so much good food and treats! The kids got to play for hours on a blow up water slide. They loved it so much.

We played card games and I learned another new favorite! Skyjo. We had so much fun and lots of laughs. It got dark and we headed out to enjoy all the fireworks. The kids had a blast with sparklers, pop it’s and confetti! Then we ended the night watching fireworks around us at our new park. Grateful for our country and all those who fought for us to be able to live here! Proud to be an American

Celebrating America at the Cabin

We headed up to cedar mountains to Jake’s grandpas cabin for the fourth. The kids were all so excited to see cousins and be in the fresh air. Jake went on his morning runs each day too. The first day he woke up as usual at 4 and went on his way. The second day he slept in and didn’t leave till 7. That night jimmy showed Jake the trail cam pictures. Jake was at 7:30 passing the cam and a mountain lion was at 4:30!!! So crazy he didn’t go at his normal time. A couple weeks earlier they kept catching a couple different bears at the same spot too. Next time he will take some type of protection.

We had a blast riding around and playing cards. I even found my new favorite card game- Nertz! We ate great food and loved chatting and being with family. It is definitely one of our favorite places to be.
It was Benjamin’s weekend! I decided last minute to let him drive the car. So Jake hopped in the back and Benjamin drove us part way to the cabin! He had a blast. My parents let us drive at papa buzz’s house so I figured it was time to start the tradition and a perfect place to do it. Emma and Noah were terrified hahaha. Navy cheered him on the whole time and was so cute. While at the cabin he also learned how to drive and operate the tractor! He was in heaven. He is getting so big and it was so fun to do watch him learn and grow!

While on a ride to the upper ranch, Reese took cash and Noah on a ride. They were going down a steep hill with a big rut and rocks on it. They hit something and flipped down. Luckily she was going so slow and so they didnt roll all the way down. Reese hurt her ribs, Cash got a big old bruise on his thigh and Noah’s face got all messed up plus hurt his arm. He ended up breaking it in a couple places and messing with his collar bone. We will find out more later and I’ll do his own post for all the details.

Even with the wreck everyone had a good time and made lots of memories. We all had our pups up there and they did amazing! It’s so fun watching them play too and they get completely worn out. Thank you grandpa for creating such a wonderful place!

Cedar trips

We had two cedar trips in a row.

The first trip was because Jake’s grandpa went into emergency surgery. He had a perforated bowel and it ended up being a pretty scary situation.

Luckily all went well with his surgeon and doctors. The older kids were glad they got to go back and see him. The younger ones were all pretty bummed they weren’t old enough. Grandpa was trying to ask the nurses to let them in too. Navy was so upset saying that grandpa wants to see her so they should just listen to what would make him happy. Noah and cash said they would do a little rascals moment and were looking for a big coat. These kids all sure love grandpa! We are glad he is home now.

The next weekend we went up for Hunter and Olivia’s wedding. We were all so excited to celebrate this beautiful couple! They got married at a beautiful barn. We even enjoyed lots of pictures with the sunset. Navy loved dancing with all the girls. Noah was so excited to dance with me and was twirling and dipping me!

We spent the night in a hotel and woke up to celebrate Jake for Father’s Day and Emma’s birthday! We had a whole weekend of celebrations surrounded by wonderful people.

Happy 12 Emma!!!

It was our amazing girls birthday! We love celebrating and spoiling Emma so much! Emma loves babysitting. She would do it all the time if she could. She is growing up so fast and is getting tall and beautiful. We love our summer break, but she does love school and especially math. Emma is really Into crafts and making bracelets and jewelry. She also loves blankets and would collect them all if she could.

We had a night swim party with our friends giant projector and screen watching a Tom holland movie. He is super cute to these girls! They swam all night and ate lots of pizza and ice cream. Emma even asked for an ice cream/popsicle cake so we improvised. Lots of cotton candy flavored treats for the night.

Emma turned 12 so she got her first phone! She is loving it and so excited to have her own phone. I got her a lot of cute phone cases to go with it. Noah got her a pedicure spa bowl, she got new blankets and a “tommy” purse. Lots of fun items that she has had a blast with.

Emma even got a second birthday day with Emylee and penny. She went over for the for a swim and party day since they were gone for her birthday party.

June fun!

Thanks to my amazing dad we have had a few nights at the ball field. We love watching the aviators play almost as we love all the food at the stadium! Lol their nachos and ice cream is delicious! So so so good! One game we got picked to play one of the inning mini games. Benjamin and kylee vs Charlotte and her friend. Kylee absolutely crashed with the inner tubes. Charlotte and her friend won and got blue man tickets! Kylee and Benjamin lost but got really awesome bags. Benjamin even got his shirt signed by the aviator.

We went and saw the new Buzz movie with the toy story line. The kids and I love the movies and enjoyed getting out of the hot weather. As you can tell we can’t wait for minions

Emma threw a two day babysitting camp. She loves babysitting and was so excited for this. She bought everything and planned it all out. They did multiple crafts each day and even their snack was a make your own treat or activity. Love this girl and how much grow up she is getting.

We have of course spent our share of days at different pools. We celebrated Kyler and graduating high school! Congrats again boy! We love swimming with cousins at Chad and ems new pool! So much fun. Even Lady tries to join in on the fun. Benjamin didn’t have a swim suit so Emylee had one for him. Leopard of course and in the leopard floaty!!!

Navy got to go with Aunt Madi to the cutest little kids town. They get to pretend to do all these jobs. Navy also went to her cousin Ellis’ birthday party and had a blast. They were in the same school class and have so much fun. We also went and saw Top Gun with a group of amazing families from our church. Such an amazing movie! Love the drive in always, even though it was pretty hot that night.

Youth camp

I am one of the youth leaders for our church. We got to go to Big Bear, CA. Emma and Benjamin are both old enough so I got to spend the week with them and lots of friends. We have amazing leaders and such a fun group of kids. We had the best week up in the mountains. They shot bow and arrows, and threw axes. Emma and Benjamin were the first and only ones in their group to stick the ax. Go kids!
They had a zip line across the camp that the kids loved. Their favorite was a rock climbing wall that went around a big area. They were tethered to it as they made their way around.
I also can’t forget to mention that we had lots of car sickness and altitude sickness. Luckily the kids all made it through and no one got an actual bug. No fun in the car rides though.
The first night we threw a big dance party. We had glow sticks everywhere and loud music as the kids jumped and danced around. We were at the park for the morning playing all sorts of games and card games. We spent a day at a Minecraft coaster and mini golf course. The coaster was self driven and so much fun. You control the brake and so how fast you go. I love loved it and loved watching the kids. Then it was mini golf time. The kids played kill ball all week. It is a mixture of volleyball and dodge ball and all of the guy youth leaders get so into it with the kids. We really have the best group!
We did an iron rod activity and had a great fireside on the last night. When we got back into town we had a testimony meeting and listened to kids stories. We watched a slide show of our week. It was a beautiful end to our week. Thanks to all of everyone’s hard work!
