It’s the 24th of July which means Bulloch time! We headed up to the ranch for a long weekend. We had lots of amazing photos and so much fun. The kids soaked up every moment. I brought extra games up for Noah with his arm and we ended the trip with a mail through Navy’s foot, but all in all it was a score. We saw a lot of deer this trip and lots of baby deer which are my fav with those little spots. We even celebrated Penny’s birthday to start off the trip! Reese and Emma decorated the cabin as a surprise for her and loved it.

We had girls movie time and lots of braiding of hair. I even got Benjamin’s out of his face for the weekend!

Jake’s dad comes up with us too! The kids love having rides with him and he cooked for us too! We love spending time with Gramps! Kylee and Jordan came up for half a day. Jake and I and the kids just love love loved having her! The cabin is Jake’s favorite place so he was excited to show her. We went down to deep creek and hiked. The kids had a mud fight which was just nasty, Jake also found a really pretty rock wall with these crazy veins/fossils in it. Also I got to go on Kylee’s craziest ride she has been on to get down to the creek! She was screaming and Jordan slept the whole way down!?! We don’t even know how he did that. Kylee was the best and took Emma out driving in her side by side. Emma gets too nervous to ride with other people and Kylee was the best with her. Said she favored that quick brake lol. We are so glad she came and made it there and back without getting lost in the mountains!

The next day we had all the Bulloch’s that could come for the reunion there! So much fun. Almost everyone went on the hike to the waterfall and went swimming. Benjamin climbed way up by the waterfall. When they got back the kids and us who stayed back ambushed them with water balloons. Noah was loving it, he was sad he couldn’t go and so this made his night! Every rig that pulled up as soon as the kids got them the dads would jump out and get right up in the fight. So funny to see their faces. Noah got just as wet as the ones that went swimming and loved every minute!
We played so many card games. They are my favorite and we had a blast. They got this old pick up truck and so we had to go do a mini photo shoot. The kids were cracking us up all over that truck. It was beautiful with the sunset too. The sunsets at the mountain are one of a kind. The kids got to shoot and Uncle Chad helped them. Thank you! They loved it and were naturals. Emma now wants a gun.
Benjamin really had a good time on the dirt bike this trip. He wants his own. These kids hahaha. It was fun seeing them grow and how big they are getting. Navy and Piper wanted another photo shoot on the swings and looked adorable. The uncles even filled up the trough/pool for them to swim and play.
A group of us took a new ride for awhile. It was the prettiest ride with a whole new type of trees and flowers. We had an issue with a boulder in the road so we stopped so the guys could get it out of the way. They tried moving it themselves but needed just a bit of assistance. Us girls did a great job cheering them on. It’s amazing the differences and wonders on grandpas mountain as you go around. This ended at a beautiful view down and you could see part of Zion and the red canyons. I get crazy anxiety around the cliffs like that so we got our picture and got out of there.

Gramps was getting some of his stuff and a rattler went right by him. We usually have one or two for the weekend, but this one was so close. They guys killed it and then Uncle Brent took the night with the kids! Benjamin really got into it and ate the most of it, he said it tasted like chicken. Um no. They skinned the whole snake and Benjamin pinned the snake skin to dry out. Benjamin and Noah then put the snake on the fire to cook. Cash and Noah said it was awful and sticky to eat. I was so proud even the girls got into the dissembling of the snake.
We had 7-10 dogs up there and they all loved roaming with their little inner wolves. The little dogs are for sure the bravest. Gramps has the tiniest one and the only dog that was attacking the rattle snake!
Grandpa loved watching everyone run and go and go and go! So crazy to think of his and grandmas amazing legacy they have made. The people that make it up to the cabin are probably only 1/4 of his people too! One of my favorite parts of the reunion weekend is spending time with the people we don’t get to see often due to busy schedules. We love all of our aunts and uncles and cousins. Thank you so much to everything and everyone does to make this work for us all. It was a crazy weekend, but the kids went 100 the whole time and loved it, which sure makes this mama happy! I love my kids being at their older ages and getting to hang out with them more. We know times get busy and people have plans, but it is always special for those that can make it up.
We love your grandpa! Happy Summer Jam!
